Pros

- Good Work/Life Balance - Okay Salary - Good qualified co-workers - No travel - Speaks more to the smart candidates they hire, but decent exit ops from here

Cons

- Mind-numbing internal work that isn't discussed during interview process - No internal growth (no incentive either to get promoted) - Projects foster no to little growth for consultants - Little to no flavor of different projects and clients - Either PM, Reg, or Risk - Management treats employees like they are dispensable (similar to a staff-aug firm) - 0 Company Culture or intentions of creating any - Low retention rate (6 months to 1.5 years) - High turnover due to realization of what this firm truly is - Bench is painful - Avoid it at all cost as opposed to other firms. You go from a consultant to an Office Admin working more hours than at client site - Clients see you as a contractor which is significantly different than a "consultant". Responsibilities follow suit - Will see a flatline or decline in personal and career growth within the first few months (all hires at each level will have an "Oh" moment which will kill any ambition they originally came in with")

Thank you for your feedback. Monticello is an entrepreneurial, collaborative firm and we look to our dynamic motivated team of industry experts to help us achieve firmwide success. We invest heavily in employee education and development, working closely with our team to enhance their consulting capabilities and build upon our culture of collaboration and continuous learning. As a part of that growth, all of our employees are asked to wear their entrepreneurial hats and engage with the firm beyond the typical day-to-day client work. We have great and dedicated team members working together in a collaborative atmosphere and that is really what helps differentiate us from other consulting firms.
