Pros
Good, smart people at the SVP/VP level who could really make change (if desired). Agency is trying to be more creative in recent years (e.g. new ECD from Martin, added account planning function, improvements to space/design). Lots of potential.
Cons
Senior management is too competitive with each other for credit (and also with employees who work for them), especially the $/clients they get credit for bringing into the agency. Six people on the EMT means inconsistent vision and direction to staff. Plays favorites - esp to those in digital/Bhive lab group. Most of EMT has superficial involvement/understanding of the day to day challenges and progress being made. Lack passion for advertising/great ideas. Too much focus on execution, not enough on strategy. Clients are "middle of the road" and don't appreciate or value new thinking so also not embraced internally. Most people are gone by 5:01. Lots of over promising when hired, but don't follow through to deliver. Benefits aren't as good as they used to be and bonuses/raises are very small (if any). Quick to layoff to meet numbers - its a business not a creative agency/culture.
