Pros

Good people, motivated, skilled, and left to do your job. Little if no micromanaging. Need to be self-motivated. Somewhat open to new ideas. Trust most employees. The atmosphere is casual even though their work deals with billions of dollars daily. Management in most cases is forgiving if an employee does an error, but wants controls to make sure it does not occur again. The company does give generous bonuses at Christmas time.

Cons

Need more robust HR and have a minimally skilled person in this position. Does not have a celebratory or vibrant culture. Succession has been discussed but not set. Management seems to be counting on what it can save by not replacing employees rather than hiring someone new to keep workloads manageable. I was given no warning when my contract ended and it caused significant financial loss until my company bounce back. I would have appreciated a 3-6 month warning. The President told me I accomplished more in one year than other he did in 10. I expected that accomplishment to indicate the high value I delivered. When finances took a dive, I went too. No apologies were said that we wish this was clearer earlier and this is the best we can do. Just be real and authentic. Upper management is conflict-avoidant.

Pros

Great benefits (full health and dental), good work environment, small office, quarterly bonuses. They are willing to pay for series licence (7, 63, 6, 66) with a bonus for passing on first attempt.

Cons

Seems to be internal conflicts between upper management of different groups within which creates stress among employees of said groups. Not the best pay scale but the benefits offset to a degree. Not much room for growth outside of the position hired for.
