Level of risk adversity stiffles the organisation -commonly felt that the BW Group and Group chairman’s mindset is unsupportive of offshore and low confidence in. Overall inhibits growth mindset. Values are premised on WE LEAD billboarding, with little if any emphasis on care values. Nice branding as with the BW group trend, great values and image on the front page, unfortunately with BWO blank pages beyond and values unstitched. Inexperienced individuals holding senior leadership positions, lacking seasoned pedigree which drives internal and importantly external confidence from customer potential. Low morale and underwhelming feeling shared by many from lack of confidence, and heightened concern and distrust in “experimentation yet again” with new strategic concepts and not knowing the direction. Selection of corporate leaders and HODs who operate “shyly- closed door-close to the chest”- rarely publicly integrate and collaborate- and generally quietly dictate. Recent large retrenchment, brain drain, of trusted respected personnel and some key who carried wealth of experience and drive. Worsening reduction in level of relevant experience across people across functional areas. Particularly challenged in areas of strategic planning and business development - remains majority view and sentiment of low confidence in the strategic approach of the business development group-remains long legacy of poor track record of winning projects, and unsuccessful in attracting new business.
