Pros

- high ownership of your work from end to end. - project planning is quite thorough. - autonomy is a big value there.

Cons

- claims to seek high performance employees when they really want high conformance. you can be doing really well in your role and if you don't work the way they want you to work, it's not going to work out. - work culture is not family friendly from my experience. it seems like there's an expectation that the company should come before family in a lot of day-to-day instances. - claims to be remote-first but expects you to work at home like you went to the office.

Pros

Babylist used to be a fantastic place to work. Great growth opportunities, great comp. Understanding managers, you used to be able to even have coffee/virtual lunch with the founder! I will say they are still growing and making the right business decisions with what they’re doing.

Cons

Treats employees 100% as replaceable, which I understand, but you should value them! There’s also a constant fear for your job because of so many people being randomly let go. When I was first hired, communication was clear and performance plans were used. Now you’ll log onto a 1:1 with your manager and randomly get fired for nothing.
