Pros
-Free snacks -Endless bottled water ( the company doesn’t recycle while claiming not to overheat the ocean).
Cons
- While the company’s CFO strives to create a destination workplace in Atlanta, he allows his direct reports to hire managers who are micro managers, focused only on themselves. The company’s HR team in the US is at the root of the problem and until they check themselves, nothing will get better for Bakelite in the US. If you try to work here, you’ll be lucky if the recruiter you start working with stays employed through the full recruiting process. - If you’re applying for a job in finance, you can expect to be micromanaged by multiple managers who aren’t even aligned with each other. - The criteria for new management hires is that they should be egotistical, manipulative, passive aggressive and insecure - Be warned, that there is no room for growth in the US finance team unless an existing manager quits, the positive is that managers don’t stay because the environment is toxic. - Frequent M&As with horrible organization, which makes people work way harder and cause a significant drop in employee morale. - Read the other reviews and know they are true. You will probably be abused and taken advantage of at some point in your time with this company, but if you choose to see it as a learning opportunity then you can take advantage of fair wages, and some unecessary travel. - DON’T Recommend going to this company.
