Pros

Humanity, Honesty, and Transparency from CEO and Leadership Caring Account Managers Strong cultural values and ethics that align with mine Commitment to DEI in the trainers they hire Timely communication Open to input Trust in the SME skills and experience of trainers in the classes we facilitate.

Cons

Contract work means opportunities to lead trainings are sporadic, and therefore unpredictable scheduling and the inability to count on regular income is challenging. This is not a criticism of BLI, just the reality of this type of contract work. Trainers are not compensated for prep time for the classes we lead, and unfortunately that adds up. :( Even in topic areas where I'm an experienced SME, I always invest uncompensated time prior to leading each training in order to bring my best to each one, because I have high standards for the work I do and the value of the time and trust of each attendee. While I'd definitely prefer a full-time learning experience/facilitator position, I am grateful for being a valued as part of a company whose leadership and culture doesn't require me to compromise my integrity for a regular paycheck, and doesn't discriminate like so many orgs do (but claim they don't). With that said, I was given the impression when I was brought in that there would be more training assignments in my area than I've actually been given so far, and that has been frustrating. I do love this company though and wish I could have a bigger role that would allow my passion, talents, and experience to help serve its clients - and truly shine.

Pros

Always on top of the clients needs and communicates effectively on what you as the trainline need to provide. Materials are always current and classy. BLI also does what it can to help you advance your own skills.

Cons

Wish I could do more work for them, often time by the time the "gig" is posted it's already filled.

Pros

The account managers I interacted with were both very kind and seem to work very hard.

Cons

I explored the opportunity in hopes that the negative reviews here were exaggerated but unfortunately that seemed not to be the case. The company's executives don't seem to have a lot of insight into the chaotic culture they are creating/perpetuating. It seems as though efforts to respond to feedback are more performative than human-centered. Neurodivergent folks beware: It does not seem like there is much room for personalized learning or communication styles. Lastly, compensation listed on glassdoor from april 2025 was $62/hour and yet they quoted me $55- seems like some inconsistencies.
