Pros
Staff are so kind, it’s a nice place to work as everyone is friendly and supportive to one another. (Not incl upper management, different story). Usually nice customers, gets trickier over summer with tourists. Flexible hours and managers are pretty good, they keep out of your hair once you gain their trust :)
Cons
Upper management awful, never heard great things and most clearly act like they don’t have time for you. Always short staffed, like ALWAYS. You get literally no training, just thrown in the deep end and have to hope someone else who has worked there for a while helps you out- luckily most will. Summer months are hard, lots of tourists which usually means language barriers, rudeness, asking for discounts etc. Gets a bit tiring but it’s better than other job i’ve ever had.
