Pros
Nothing at all horrible place to work
Cons
What I witnessed when I worked there was insane. I've been grooming for 18 years and thought it was weird with the hourly pay but thought I would give it a try. I was wrong dogs got craimed in even when there was no room. Dog got tied to sinks and other objects that were unsafe (have photos of this). When the owner would be asked for help watching a dog he didn't want to be bothered. Then would also get mad if a dog wasn't out in time but he had 10 dogs come in at once for 3 employees. As a groomer we all know how insane that is and it's not even exaggerated. I could go on and on about how horrible of a work environment this is and how this man has no respect for groomers or the industry we work for (just look at the business plan and his prices ) Here I'll brake it down for groomers most of us make somewhere between $1000 to 1800a week some more. (Currently with a bather I make $2000 a week) Depending on pricing you are grooming 6-10 dogs a day. Im sure if you have a bather more but you will also be making more! If your a newer groomer I'm sure this looks very inviting but you will not be learning to groom for quality. He wants quantity so will push as many dogs in as possible. It's not an environment to train someone in most corporate stores have better training then this (PetSmart had mostly master groomers as there trainers) Just ask yourself this before working here Do you want to groom more dogs for less money Or DO you want to groom less dogs for more money. If you said yes to the 2nd one move on to another salon. Remember there is a groomer shortage you can work anywhere right now. Find a salon that respects you and doesn't try to kill your body. Take this from a seniored groomer don't kill your body when you are young. Learn to space out your grooms and not burn yourself out so early in your career.
