Pros
Growth opportunity is nearly limitless. The more you can handle the more you can do and in turn, the more you make. Flexible- no two days are the same, and you are relatively autonomous in your scheduling, with remote solutions offering hybrid working environment. No nights or weekends. Its great being a part of the industry I love without giving up my time to spend with friends and family not in hospitality.
Cons
With flexibility comes some inconsistencies with work load. Some weeks will be harder than others. Being a hospitality job, you don't get all of the same holidays as your Government employed friends, specifically the ones that only happen on Mondays.
