Pros
- it is an important part of the community - staff is very knowledgeable about products being sold - specialty items can be ordered for customers -scheduling can be accommodating
Cons
- moral is poor -training process is non existent because of lack of help and designated employees who train new help -prices continue to climb, customers complain often - complete lack of communication between departments - lack of structure -needs more management -we get a discount but if you are unable to study a product or item (some people are able to stock products for another section to get the discounts, others are able to research while at work but most have to do it on they're own time at home) , you are penialized for a week and it is taken away. -there is no consistency in procedures for stocking or cleaning because everyone is trained differently or not at all. - change does not come easily -no rewards for hard work -owners aren't at the store often but when they are they focus on small things not the big picture
