Pros
A nice office (London) in a good location. Some good people
Cons
There was a consistent lack of direction within the BI / Data Analytics team, with priorities and objectives frequently changing. This created confusion around delivery expectations and made it difficult for the team to focus on meaningful outcomes. The environment within the BI and Data Analytics function was highly toxic at times, and in my opinion, the department suffered from poor leadership under Zi. There appeared to be a lack of accountability across senior members of the team, and some individuals in leadership positions seemed to lack the foundational technical and operational knowledge expected for their roles. A recurring issue was the culture of blame shifting. Projects regularly failed to deliver results, yet accountability rarely sat with leadership or decision-makers. Instead, engineers were often scapegoated for wider organisational and management failures. There was also very little sense of loyalty or team cohesion, which contributed further to a negative working environment. For anyone serious about building a long-term career in BI, Data, or Analytics, I would only recommend this company as a potential entry-level stepping stone. It may provide short-term exposure for junior staff, but beyond 1–2 years there appears to be limited opportunity for meaningful career progression. Overall, the department lacks structure, strategic direction, and effective management leadership.
