Pros
Lots of resources available (library research, exercise facilities, cafeterias, etc) even to lowly adjuncts and grad students. Adjunct pay is good (for what it is). Nice campus and by-&-large friendly people. Certain (younger) faculty are wonderful and helpful. Lots of activities, guest speakers, festivals, and conferences to appeal to intellectually curious learners.
Cons
For those on the bottom of the hierarchy, you're treated as disposable grunts. No guarantee of classes even if you request them and if you have a higher degree than someone who's been there longer. Entrenched faculty are very coddled and able to dictate their desired courses, and little oversight for some grad faculty means they can really screw you over if they are negligent, incompetent, or malicious.
