In my 8.5 years with Beacon Hill I was able to utilize my customer service and event planning talents in an atmosphere that both challenged and empowered me. I truly had a voice and was able to provide valued input as the business experienced growth and as we took on new clients, venues, and worked to develop our brand. It was exciting to be a part of such an innovative event planning and catering business!
The Leadership Team is completely in touch with the business and committed to the professional development of all their employees. The staff I managed and worked with were incredibly talented, intelligent, hard-working and very much team players. We relied on each other to problem solve and to make each event memorable for our clients. There definitely is a culture of open communication where every employee's input and ideas are valued.
Cons
The work is hard and very challenging at times - especially since you are working with clients on their most exciting, emotional, and stressful days of their lives. Event planning and customer service takes a lot of patience and you really have to be willing to work hard and to do it with a smile at all times. The supportive culture at Beacon Hill made the hard work worth it!
