You should know, this place has hurt my multiple decade career significantly more than it has helped. I only offer this so you know something about me as you read this. There are many happy and successful people at Bechtel, just ends up that I am not one of them at the moment. This pertains to my personal experience while attempting to become one of those people. If you are looking for advancement or just recognition and you depend on your hard work and dedication to predominantly speak this for you... you will more than likely be dissappointed, if you don't have a fairly well developed social game... this may not be the place for you. If you can attain a higher level Bechtel mentor to guide you, navigating Bechtel's social and political maze can be done without much knowledge, hard work or dedication. I have seen the perception of accomplishment take front seat to actual accomplishement on several occasions. I may be a little disgruntled but I think I am mainly just dissappointed. I aimed to high with my hopes and expectations and they moved the target low. Well, writing this has been therapeutic ☺ ... thanks for reading it.
