Beechwood Inn Serving - Server Beechwood Inn Employee Review

The new General Manager Mario Cuevas keeps everyone informed and involved in the decision making process. With this being a pivotal time of change and transition for the hotel, a firm open-door policy has been created in which all ideas/suggestions/thoughts are considered and discussed individually with the GM and as a team. Overall, it makes employees want to work harder because they are beginning to see immediate results as a direct correlation of sharing ideas and communicating.

During this time of change, there are many staff members who are accustomed to "old" habits or were taught a different way to accommodate a goal that can be more easily attained by utilizing a new process. I don't like listing this as a "CON" because these employees are able to provide reasoning as to why certain things were done a certain way which is very helpful... but at times it can present frustration. Change is hard for everyone so it is to be expected during this time. We all just need to be patient and open-minded during this time.

The only pro I can think of was to be associated with a beautiful property.

This is a toxic place to work. The current manager/asset manager is an extremely narcissistic person. He was/is blatantly having an affair with one of the restaurant employees, who posted many pictures of herself on social media in his Boston penthouse. He, quite recently, purchased a condo for her. I went to HR and told them I considered this a hostile work environment. Not long after that he fired me. I didn't pursue it, because I was so happy and relieved to be out of there.
