Pros

The comradery within the internal team I was on was unmatched.

Cons

After tiny yearly raises that never matched the increased cost of living, 10 years after I started, my purchasing power was 3% lower than it was when I started. An actual raise was promised for years and held up in front of me as a carrot on a stick right up till the end when they laid off half of our department. I found out afterwards that the person I helped train started out making 15k more than I ever did. They also ask you not to share your salaries even though that is specifically illegal. I also remember them implying that we should consider how much we're using our company medical insurance for because it affects their operating costs. On top of all this, our department was expected to take on more and more from the job descriptions of other departments while their job titles began to earn more, and we did not.
