Pros
Access to great benefits and investment opportunities, flexibility that promotes a healthy work/life balance, competitive wage (not the strongest in the industry nor the weakest), access to continuous training and development courses. There are some incredible leaders within this organization that provide their teams with clarity and direction, I've had the pleasure of working for some of the best!
Cons
Not all leaders are equal despite training opportunities available to everyone. While I've worked under the best, I've experienced some of the worst leadership and management of my career as well. This leads to a lack of communication, direction and clarity. Some emplotees are overwhelmed and overworked, managing more than their share leading to burnout, while others are sidelined with minimal tasks and responsibility, despite volunteering to take on more. Generally speaking the work is not fulfilling nor does it truly utilize everyone's unique strengths. With constant organizational changes, one wonders when the next round of layoffs will take place which isn't motivational. While some leaders are absolutely amazing, many seriously lack professionalism and emotional intelligence. You are essentially 'headcount'. For a company that preaches ethics, morals and mental health, I see a lot of unhealthy and unethical practices.
