Pros
I learned some valuable business skills such as recruiting, sales, team management and public speaking. I met some fun people.
Cons
Where do I begin? I'll go with the bad first and then the ugly. The bad: It is very hard to make much money going door to door for Verizon in Philadelphia, keep in mind I did this for nearly two yeas. There are good leads that are in newer neighborhoods but management only gives those leads to those he favors. The ugly: Behind closed doors this company is not what they say it is. I gave a lot of time and effort to this company. I moved across country to help this company grow. Those that have families can be sure to not see them often, as anytime off is deemed a waste of time and a hindrance to your career. I worked Monday through Friday from 8:30-7:30; Saturday from 9-5:45. All of this on 100% commission. There is a favoritism that is detrimental to growth. I was a top leader who trained all new people and did many jobs and outlasted all who were there before me and was held back by a management team that had only their pockets in mind. They say it is merit based but this is simply not true. I earned much more than I was given here. By the way, a few of the reviews that are positive are really just reviews that were done by employees told to write them in order to give Benevolus a better look. If you want more reviews look up a company called Junto Group, the name was changed to Benevolus.
