Poor management starting from the very top with ownership. Bennett purchased all Ebersole dealerships in Lebanon in Dec. 2021. Instead of coming in and hearing out current employees, they came in with lots of change at the very beginning which resulted in a mass walk-out of prior Ebersole employees. Their solution was to promote whoever stayed into management positions. They now how unexperienced managers running their stores. These managers have no idea what they’re doing and I have watched countless customers leave and not purchase a car because management didn’t know how to handle the situation. They do not advertise/ have marketing for any of their dealerships, yet wonder why business is slow. Since they took over Ebersole in Dec. 2021 they have messed up payroll every payday. One week they had to pay out over $100,000 in payroll checks that were messed up. Due to their inability to pay employees on time, they lost thousands in one day due to employees REFUSING to work until they were paid what they were owned. When the issue is brought up to ownership they makes excuses for their 1 office manager handling payroll for 5 stores. They have weekly manager meetings to discuss what to improve on but no one speaks up because when they do they are ridiculed or told they’re wrong. The meetings are a waste of time and result in nothing. HUGE TURNOVER RATE!! The amount of people in and out of this place should be a huge red flag for ownership, however they refuse to open their eyes and realize they are the problem. Instead they talk bad about previous employees and never care to listen or understand why they left. The ownership philosophy is “there is always someone else to replace you.” Lack of inventory is another big issue. They have 1 sole buyer for 12 locations!!! WHAT!! They cry and moan about not selling used inventory but every dealership bids over maybe 20 cars a week. Ownership is never in the store!
