Pros

Local instructors and staff at the Illinois Media School are wonderful to work with. It's fun to watch the students grow and become excited about their careers.

Cons

Work load is outrageous at the Illinois Media School. The school is notorious for bad leadership. If someone leaves, the rest of the staff is forced to carry on the workload of missing employees (yes, including the cleaning/janitorial staff). Toxic environments with only the corporate puppets allowed big promotions. Admissions Dept at IMS gets special treatment from corporate since they hold the same unethical and money-hungry values. Federal laws, both labor and education, are definitely being broken with this school's unorganized environment. There is no structure and there are no processes. This company is very top-heavy, giving higher admin all the benefits and rewards, leaving the local staff behind. There is no HR representative, and we were forced off our insurance plan with little to no notice and placed on an out-of-network plan without any consultation. Employees are threatened with their jobs when certain systems are implemented by inexperienced employees. Can't wait until their audit comes around so the truth can come to light.

Pros

There are no pros it is a scamming school

Cons

The schools in every state are a complete scam. They’re literally trying to get anyone even homeless people into classes just to collect government money. There’s zero security; anyone can walk right in. The equipment is outdated, and the turnover rate is insane. Instructors and staff constantly have their kids hanging around, using the equipment and wrecking the classrooms. There’s no real merit or standard here anyone can get in. Honestly, it’s a joke. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.
