Pros

Working at Berendsen keeps me from having to do things I would later regret in order to pay my mortgage, although sometimes that seems like a more apealing alternative.

Cons

Poor management and practices. The company will take every oportunity to renig on written and verbal agreements. No training on the products or work flow policies or practices. You are left to figure everything on your own and even when you succeed against all odds, you are not rewarded in any way and rather, left to feel like you are lucky to be employed by Berendsen.

Pros

You aren't micromanaged. It is made clear through the hiring process that you need to be able to manage your own time and territory. If you can't do this, you won't get hired. If you can, you won't get fired. No monthly sales metrics, nobody breathing down your neck. Base pay is ok, commission can be a lot if you get the right customers. Good co-workers, good benefits. Travel isn't terrible if you live near your territory.

Cons

Management is reluctant to accept change in how they do things. Industry responds heavily to oil/gas, so there are down seasons.
