Pros
Good pay, close to work, easy 8-4:30 hours, no travel, private high wall cubicle, free coffee and a management who didn't micromanage.
Cons
I had to leave as upper management has no clue to work loads or application tasks thus no rewards for hard work. Our project manager used Excel for everything and she could hardly write a cell formula. Lazy indian coders were of no help and sat talking to each other all day. I was promised training and a conference every two years. They provide a stinky in house training program nobody uses and all conference requests refused. If other coders aren't on your team they won't work with you. My old job called several times and so finally I left BTS and returned to an actually challenging job!! Also lost vacation when I left as BTS doesn't pay out accrued vacation time when you leave.
