Pros
The people are absolutely wonderful to work with, and the leadership team seems solid and down to earth. Unlike many other firms, they don't staff up when they get a large project only to lay off people when it's over. As far as I know, they have not had any significant layoffs during Covid or prior or since. The office in Portland is very nicely equipped and the majority of people can work from home (or anywhere). They seem to live by their values. It's the healthiest work environment I've ever had. They have "responsible PTO" which means there is guidance for 3 weeks of vacation a year + 7 holidays + a week off in July that everyone gets. But it's not 100% set in stone, so if you ever needed to take more, I believe you could (it's a little vague). People do work hard, but there does seem to be a desire to create work/life harmony. There is a lot of effort put into developing staff, and they stand by you as you learn. I plan to stay here a long time.
Cons
The only complaints I have are: An 8 am start time & the health insurance. The health insurance is ok, but it's very expensive to add a spouse. It's a high deductible health plan so basically you have to pay everything upfront until you meet your deductible. I know this isn't unusual, but I've definitely paid less for more in the past.
