Pros
You're your own boss, you control how much you want to make and if you want a raise, you just have to go out and sell more ads. It's a great proven system that works, as long as you stick to it that is. You're a 1099 employee, which some people see as a bad thing, educate yourself on taxes, 1099 means you're an Independent Contractor......you own your own business...therefore most of your expenses are tax deductible at the end of the year. The calls are great, and as long as you pay attention, you can get a lot out of it. And it's nice to hear how difficult it was for some people to make then how easy it is for some, gives that balance of well I can do this, and not well everyone went to print in 2 months and here I'm at 2 months and I'm barely halfway to base. Managers are great, Division Manager answers any and all questions you can think of. It still amazes me to that the Regional Manager is as hands on as he is, even to just send a text to say, hey how are things going, never had any managers quite like these. Not to mention the corporate staff, hey, when you got a blizzard going in your home and your still make yourself available to answer question from us hundreds of miles from....now that's AMAZING. CEO is great too, not like most where he'll just bark out orders and sit behind his desk...nope, everyday he's on the conference calls with you, and he truly does have an open door policy, any of your uppers have an open door policy, as long as their not busy that is.
Cons
I'll admit, it was a little scary at first, and it's hard sometimes to find the motivation to make calls just to rejected. You have to make sure that you have enough money to live on for a few months or have a spouse that works too. Print is the dream, go to print then start dreaming of the money you can make.
