Pros

Staff is wonderful Some customers are very kind Cash tips Short 5-6 hour shift (part time is the full time) Good job for students Good side hustle

Cons

Not enough pay (server $8.00 an hour + tips host $14.00 plus a 10 dollar tip out at the end of the shift) Working 5 days a week, getting paid every 2 weeks made around or a little below $500 on each check as a host. Made $200 or $300 on each bi weekly check as a server not including cash tips A lot of people don’t tip (free sit down breakfast don’t think to tip) Older customers can be very cheap, picky and rude (almost all our clients are older) tip noting or very low $2.00. Maybe $5.00 if you give really great service I only got a $0.75 raise when I worked there for 3 years. Found out new people make my 3 year pay just starting off. Pto is bad. You have to work 30 hours for 1 hour of pto. (The shifts are only 5-6 hours so you don’t even get an hour of pto once per week working 5 days a week)

Pros

Ever-changing events . Something new ever day.

Cons

You work with individuals who have a level of entitlement of thinking the this and that is theirs. That's t heir space, this is their drawer. You can't do "xyz" but constantly asking you to be in said space while your job is at the front desk . Not not the kitchen. Not the laudryroom or washroom. The entire things is crazy.
