Pros
- You can feel your growth almost daily and weekly. It's uncomfortable or awkward at times much like when we experienced growth spurts at adolescence but those who have great self awareness, high curiosity in the face of challenge, fluidity to adapt and love to problem solve will enjoy this work. - It's a hyper learning environment where you continuously reference readings, research in behavior and organizational psychology in not just what we build but how we show up as a company to each other. - People are passionate about the mission, respectful, highly collaborative, optimists and high achievers. - Leaders and managers are intentional and resilient. Keeps the quality bar really high and keeps teams striving but celebrated a long the way.
Cons
- This is a once-in-a-lifetime company going through it's own transformation while delivering on products that help transform individuals, teams and organizations. It's not for everyone much like start-ups are not for the faint of heart. - You are often tested to be creative when it comes to speed and quality. It's not black and white but requires rigor in thought and approach to prioritization and finding high value and innovation at the most optimal pace. It's an absolute skill to hone in any company and requires folks to take this as part of the work to practice continuously. - This is not a place to 'fix your mental health' -- that's often a false assumption people have about working in well-being space. The work is super challenging and will require you to set aside your agenda in favor of building something that can have huge impacts for many vs just the single employee experience. That being said, it's absolutely possible to find work + life satisfaction here with the help of your coach and consistent practice with your mindset. Folks who focus on this latter are the most successful and tenured.
