Pros
The company allows employees to give input on anything going on. They allow employees to vent internally through different platforms and the exec team and CEO are heavily engaged. Every month those ideas where all the employees have voted on are bubbled up, the leadership team votes yes or no. I’ve never worked for a company where employees are given so much of a voice.
Cons
Overstock.com has its own brand of crazy for sure, but it’s no crazier than anywhere else. It’s the pace at which we move that people can’t manage. Changes are made quickly and if you can’t keep up, you will absolutely, positively not fit in. If you want a calm, peaceful, serenity now type of environment, Overstock is not for you. Plan on working your tail off, plan on changes, plan on a fast pace... so if you don’t like to work, move on.
