greeat - Scientist Biotap Medical Employee Review

Biotap Medical is an amazing company. From upper management and all the way down to the hands that process samples, everyone who works at Biotap is helpful, nice, and hard-working. Management is always quick to help, whether it's developing new ideas to improve workflow, or helping an employee with a concern, be it work-related or a personal issue. The way this company runs is highly effective, and the people here make it a truly enjoyable place to work. Biotap seems to always be striving for improvement. I can't wait to see how much more this company grows in the coming years.

Increased PTO would be a great addition to the benefits Biotap offers

Time off is given, not earned. This is the ONLY reason I gave two stars. Two weeks given on your first day, then at the start of the new year - 120 hours.

While the time off offered was great, this company had no consideration for a single mother with a sick child. Time off was used, with child’s doctors notes provided…. And when there was no time off left to take, they fired me! Not to mention… during a global pandemic. As a mother I had to keep my child home more often as daycare had different and more strict rules as to when a kid could come. The slightest runny nose, cough, teething fever…. No daycare. This was a job that could have EASILY been done in a hybrid way… the manager sure did work from home whenever she felt like it.
