Pros

- Ping pong table/PS4 - Shallow perks that try and promote a tech-bro fintech feel - Decent diversity initiatives - Quality tech solution that helps small businesses

Cons

- Pay structure designed to underpay younger workers leading to job churn and poor retention - Lack of transparency around pay leading to people getting paid a considerable amount less for the same work compared to other team members. - Complex and poorly thought-out internal processes that result in work not getting done, a lack of general accountability, and a demoralised and toxic team culture - Company thinks of itself as an agile start-up but in reality its bloated processes mean it will take months to get anything done (if at all) - Highly siloed and segmented culture that results in departments rarely interacting - Tech-heavy executive team who don't value or appreciate the role of other departments (like marketing). - A culture of 'quantity over quality' that will sacrifice high quality work for AI-generated nonsense as long as it ranks on Google. - Poor parental leave and P&C policies in general. If you want a fintech without any benefits, work here!

Pros

- Great team, with friendly people from diverse cultures, which creates a rich and inclusive environment - Clear efforts from the HR team to foster a positive culture and regularly celebrate achievements - Strong support from my direct managers - A wide variety of work, which keeps things interesting and engaging

Cons

- BizCover recently decided to change its hybrid working model, moving from 3 days working from home to 2. This change was somewhat abrupt and not fully aligned with prior arrangements, requiring significant adjustments to my existing commitments. It has had a notable impact on how I perceive the company’s direction. While BizCover has consistently emphasised that people matter, I would appreciate greater consideration, as decisions like this can significantly affect people’s lives. - Regular periods of high workload and tight deadlines - Frequent interruptions when working in the office can make it challenging to focus on tasks that require sustained concentration
