Pros
Fix working hours and no OT is required normally. Company enjoy donor support and access to grant funding from government.
Cons
it is a non-profit organization yet it is very business minded. They are more concerned of the sales and revenue rather than the services quality to the target group. In fact, non-profit is used as an excuse to offer low salary to the workers even with enough government funding and the profit make from their business unit. Hence, there is little or no emphasis on development of professionalism and career progression. The company seems to lack enthusiasm for hiring professionals such as psychologist, social worker etc despite having the budget from government. Perhaps the company need to realize that staying true to their mission and social impact goals are crucial as well.
