Pros

Purpose-Driven Work: You're not just working for a tech company; you're part of a human-centered mission to create a more connected and sustainable world. This isn't corporate jargon—it's a feeling that permeates the office and is a huge motivator. Incredible Colleagues: The talent bar is high. You will work with smart, passionate, humble, and collaborative people from all over the world. The culture is genuinely supportive, and people are always willing to help. International & Dynamic Environment: BlaBlaCar is truly global. Working with teams in different countries (Brazil, Poland, Russia, etc.) is the norm, not the exception. The fast-paced nature of the scale-up means no two days are the same. Strong Company Culture: Even as we've grown, the company has worked hard to maintain its unique culture. Events, seminars, and "BlaBlaTimes" help keep everyone connected. There's a real sense of community. Great Office & Perks: The Paris HQ is fantastic—spacious, bright, and designed for collaboration. The benefits are competitive (meal vouchers, health insurance, mobility budget, etc.) and the famous "BlaBlaBreak" (extra week of vacation) is a game-changer for work-life balance. Autonomy & Trust: As a recruiter, I am given a lot of autonomy to own my searches and build relationships. The company trusts its employees to be responsible and deliver on their goals.

Cons

Scale-Up Growing Pains: Like any company of this size, there can be some process ambiguity. Priorities can shift quickly, which requires adaptability. You need to be comfortable with a certain level of change and be proactive in navigating it. Communication Complexity: Being an international company with multiple offices can sometimes lead to communication challenges. Ensuring perfect alignment across all teams and time zones requires constant effort. Resource Constraints (at times): In some teams, you might feel that you could move even faster with more resources. This is a typical trade-off in a scale-up focused on sustainable growth, but it means you need to be scrappy and good at prioritizing. Internal Mobility: While opportunities exist, moving between departments can sometimes be less structured than in a larger, more established corporation. It often requires strong initiative and networking from the employee.
