BlackEdge Response
9yI'm really sorry that you feel that way. I know things did not go according to plan for you at BlackEdge and I can see how you would come away disappointed.
Please know that we held off on letting you go as long as possible. We kept the relationship going past the point where it made business sense out of consideration for you. We also met with you several years ago to tell you that your future at BE was in doubt and you should seek out alternative employment.
Everything we communicated to you was truthful. I looked back at your emails to me and I can see some instances where I should have responded quicker and more thoroughly. That must have been very frustrating for you - I apologize for that.
Here's what I think the central miscommunication is. 1-2 years into your tenure at BE we realized things were not going according to plan (your division wasn't performing and your position's utility was declining) We talked in my office. We explained what was going on and said your position was in doubt and you likely wouldn't have a future at BE. From that point on you still had expectations in line with the original offer we made to you. Meanwhile we thought we were going above and beyond by keeping you on the payroll. Does that make sense?
I'm happy to discuss this in more depth. Please know that we were always truthful with you. We wish you all the best for the next step in your career.
