Pros
The new office headquarters is very nice. Standard benefits for health insurance, time off.
Cons
Blackbaud used to be a solid company with lots of potential for employees and investors. It was the thought leader in the nonprofit space, and customers benefited from that. That time has passed. Don't be fooled by the nice office and living in Charleston. Management no longer supports remote workers so you have to move to Charleston. You'll regret moving your family here while you are miserable at this company. There are not a lot of other jobs in Charleston. So you will be stuck. At Blackbaud, politics win not the best ideas. They promote people to jobs that didn't even have a posting. Its all how well you play the game. I have never seen a company that has so much bureaucracy. Living in Charleston is expensive, however the salaries don't align to the cost of living. Imagine being at a customer conference when one of the executives is bragging about his new wine suitcase and wine cellar in his new house that cost more money then any of you make in a year. You will go backwards in your career if you work here. There is zero professional development. And you won't learn anything new or be inspired because you wont work for smart people. Many of the senior managers are control freaks and have only worked at Blackbaud (given the lack of jobs in Charleston). So they are ignorant to how great tech companies actually run. They are fearful of change and view it as giving up control of power. Lots of vision at the company, but they can't execute. Watch the stock price decline.
