Pros
Pressure makes diamonds, and I made some good friends going through hell with others I did get a promotion to a sales position to get some great experience that led me to my next job You will learn a lot if you can make it to a sales role, but think of this BDR role as being a fraternity pledge for 18 months.
Cons
Ugh micromanagement layoffs and reorganizations they claim transparency, but you are a pawn and they will squeeze as much out of you as possible lies about advancement opportunities lied in the interview about the percentage of BDRs that hit quota regularly tons of cold calling, but that's the job, so not that big of a deal micromanagement IF you do get a promotion, then you do a good job in your new role(sales) you will come to find that outside hires are paid much more and you will always hear that "HR limits pay increases to 15%...starting at a base salary of $30,800 will continue to be a problem if you want to stay at Blackbaud long term Management is terrible did I mention that management is not transparent or honest? micromangement If you are okay with going through 18 months of hell to get a promotion to sales and then put in another 2 years in sales, you will have a really solid resume for tech/saas sales. That's 3.5 years of pretty low pay, so I just want to be honest
