Pros
The People. By far the most friendly and supportive place I've ever worked. Professional Development. We are encouraged to take time to work on our professional development during work hours. That may be a webinar, a book club, a conference, a course... The Mission. We are a for-profit company but support non-profits. Every day we go to work to support the organizations that make the world a better place- youth centers, cancer research and support, schools, food banks....
Cons
Pivots. We spend a lot of time putting our hearts into projects and then the leadership will say we are changing direction. Lack of UX Designers. Leadership doesn't understand what all the roles are so they make assumptions about what we need to do our jobs. About 2 years ago they decided to layoff a large number of UX designers thinking we could use patterns and not design input on every project. That has been a huge loss. If any of our former UX designers see this, we miss you very much.
