Pros
- Excellent benefits and good comp with the bonus and lots of holidays, basically the company treats their employees well
- Chance to get promoted, raises and rise quickly
- Freedom and Independence: It seems like regardless of what team you are on, you get the chance quickly to take on your own responsibility and start contributing independently which is great for growth.
- Not siloed at all, I like how much the different teams work with each other and how much of a view you get into what the different teams do.
Cons
- The hours and work life balance can vary depending on your manager/team. I've heard that some other teams the management can be overbearing and expect long hours, but not my personal experience.
- Learning on your own: You have access and the support of your manager but as a typical startup environment I think even then you will have to take ownership of your learning to a certain extent and take the initiative to be asking and learning about things that are confusing or you could slowly fall behind or lost. This is not a con to everyone though, as it helps you learn and grow.
