MLM Scam - STAY AWAY - Retail Sales Associate Blue Chip Official Employee Review

Pros

The people there are very friendly and have amazing charisma, you'll really feel like you're part of a huge family when you're in the office.

Cons

Blue Chip Official is a classic MLM scam at heart. You don't get paid a salary or hourly rate, but instead a commission based on how many TV or internet subscriptions you sell, which only gets harder and harder to sell to people with every year since either everyone already has a subscription or doesn't want one. You can go the entire day making very little or (more realistically) nothing at all and it all comes out of your pocket. The commissions you do get are so little it feels like you're eating table scraps after a feast and is not even close to a livable income or even minimum wage. You're stuck in what they call Phase 1 where you spend all day barely making any money with only a dangling carrot of huge earnings the higher-ups make keeping you going day after day. After earning $800 - not selling, EARNING - in five days, an insane achievement you'll never reach, you can move on to the fabled "Phase 2", where you do the exact same gosh darned thing, but this time you're sucking in more gullible people to work for you and suck commissions out of like a leech. You're required to hire and promote four people into their own Phase 2 to move yourself up to Phase 3, where by this point you're leaching off so many people you'll actually start turning a profit. This is the part of their system that breaks down. One person hiring four people could work, but that means four people selling the exact same thing in the exact same stores and doing exactly as poorly as you did. But if THOSE four people want to move into Phase 3, they need to hire their own group of four people. Now we've got 16 people, already a crowd in an office but insane over-saturation and self-competition in an already dry market. And if THOSE 16 people want to move up to Phase 3, we're now up to a staggering 64 people clambering over each other to get to the unrealistic goal of actually getting paid fairly. The system breaks down after about 16 times when the amount of people needed to be hired in order to get a handful of people into Phase 3 exceeds the population of the entire planet. Blue Chip Official is a scam capitalized on by the people who started early on and are riding off the slave labor of those unfortunate enough to fall for it. There is no realistic opportunity for advancement, no satisfying job moments, and no income you could make to even buy groceries with. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM BLUE CHIP OFFICIAL!

Hey, Reviewer, It's clear we did not part on great terms, and for that we are sorry. We hope that every person who starts in our company and chooses to leave does so with transferrable skills and an adequate understanding of our sales processes/pay/advancement/etc., but it is clear we missed the ball here. Sales is a highly profitable career path for some and not for others. We're proud of the work we do for our clients and are equally transparent in the fact that sales/management might not suit every person we hire long term. However, the life skills someone can learn in our company are next to none. Your MLM comments don't apply to our organization, as we work for one of the nation's largest cable/satellite/telecom companies. We don't require our team to invest in the company, our client's products/services, recruit their own team, or pay their commissions downward - all characteristics of an MLM. Despite a gross misunderstanding of our business model, what saddens us most is your comment on our work environment in comparison to slavery. There are zero comparisons between the two, and the analogy is grotesque. To imply that we mistreat our people, pay them poorly, require them to work in substandard conditions, and treat them as less than human is absurd. We understand theatrics, but this is highly unprofessional and slanderous. We hope whatever career path you move into, it treats you well, and you prosper and thrive there. Best of luck. Best, Management

Pros

Management was helpful, good guidance. Competitive environment. Everyone was kind and I made long lasting relationships after a short time

Cons

Sales is an unreliable field that makes you twist people's arms. It isn't for me, I just don't have any real cons to put out there.

Pros

This company exemplifies the meaning of positivity, motivation, and culture. These components have surpassed any expectations. I instantly felt like I was part of a big family where we help push and motivate others to reach our highest potentials in life, whether it be for personal development or career advancement. We are a TEAM and with that you will not fail unless you do not want to be part of an amazing team oriented environment. Nolan is by far the most professional CEO you can work with. The communication, coaching, and development he provides for his company is top notch. This company is GROWING rapidly and that is because of this teams culture. If you are looking to be a part of a fun, family oriented environment where you can succeed, then this is the company to work for.

Cons

There are no cons at all!
