Pros

Only pro is that I get to work remotely

Cons

I left a position working for an established company where I’d been for many years. I bought into this dream that was sold to me, only to have it turn into a nightmare. Blue Water loves you until they don’t and then they make your life hell until they fire you. The leadership team is old and clueless. He has big demands but doesn’t care that they are unrealistic. There is no diversity. Take a look at the bio pictures on the website. If i didn’t have a family, I’d be gone already.

Pros

I'm very pleased to be a part of the Blue Water umbrella. As a GM, I am able to operate "my" property knowing that I have a dedicated support team behind me. I am encouraged to think out of the box and not feel like I'm on my own island. I enjoy the diversity of the job and being able to employ cutting edge technology to stretch and reach attainable goals. Blue Water is a down-to-earth growing company that values its employees and offers room to advance. I don't feel like a number, I feel I'm part of a team.

Cons

In-season can sometimes include some long days and weekends, not always but it is expected in the hospitality industry.

Pros

Working here has been a really positive experience. Leadership is approachable, transparent, and genuinely invested in both the success of the company and the growth of employees. The culture encourages collaboration and problem-solving, and team members support each other instead of competing. There are plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and take on more responsibility if you’re motivated. Work-life balance is respected, which makes it easier to perform well without burning out.

Cons

Like any growing company, there are times when processes are still being built out and things move quickly. It requires adaptability, but leadership is open to feedback and continuously improving.
