Pros

Kids are cute and you make a difference in kids lives. One BCBA cares

Cons

CD and OM suck. Send passive messages on teams with smiley faces but spend the entire day sitting at the front gossiping about the entire clinic and families. They’ll probably see this and pass it off like they’re doing something good but there’s a reason RBTs don’t feel supported or/valued & 75% of the clinic is fed up and miserable due to their poor leadership. Favoritism is insane until you’re not perfect and then suddenly everything you do is wrong so you lose out on hours or are overly criticized. Having such high turnover rate should make one do self-reflection on their leadership skills.

Pros

Ethics committee, training team supportive, amazing RBTs

Cons

Leadership ACD/CD unethical, lack of transparency, poor communication, lack of knowledge regarding OSHA/company policies/Title 17&22, RBTs expressed concerns not being met by leadership and feelings of discrimination. Pay was not competitive and center was using old school ABA methods and restraints/control methods to support challenging behaviors. Parents were not informed when restraints were used on child.
