It is wonderful to hear that you found your time as a Lead Math Fellow rewarding and that you felt supported by your colleagues. Your commitment played a vital role in helping our students build their math skills and confidence.
We appreciate your honesty regarding the daily realities of working in a classroom. Supporting students through the challenges of adolescence requires immense patience and resilience. We aim to ensure our Fellows feel equipped for these moments through ongoing coaching and collaborative team support, and we value the grace you showed in navigating those disruptions to keep the focus on learning.
Regarding your feedback on compensation, we understand the importance of balancing mission-driven work with the cost of living, particularly in the Bay Area. We are continuously looking for ways to enhance the overall Fellow experience—including professional development and AmeriCorps benefits like the Segal Education Award—to ensure our team feels valued for the incredible impact they make.
