Pros
Hybrid office schedule. Some nice people that are fun to work with. Generous discount. Generous office snacks. Dogs allowed in the office. Unlimited PTO if you can manage to take any time off without guilt from your leader due to the insurmountable work on your plate.
Cons
Outdated systems and incompatibility between the platforms and systems. They can’t even get the wifi to work in the office. Lack of process, dysfunctional, workplace led by ineffective leaders. No check points in place for consistency or quality, and leadership does nothing to set standards and process to improve the product. A few genuinely nice, talented people, but overshadowed by a toxic, gaslighting clique of lazy individuals (mostly on the production and design teams) that have been with the company 8+ years. It’s a miracle any of these people have made it to adulthood successfully. Current leadership protects these people and promotes the worst of them for the sake of having their minions do the grunt work. Be prepared to walk on eggshells daily. Crying and whining are core values at Bonobos, it is championed. If you attempt to ask for clarification or try to implement any process, you will be labeled negative, become topic for gossip, and ostracized. You’ll be told to “dig in”and “take ownership” of your area, when there’s nothing to own because it’s all a mess. Leadership isn’t effective and changes often. They say all the things: that they want to improve the processes and implement new ones, etc but nothing changes. Double standards and FAVORITISM are real at Bonobos. HR is a joke, they’re so fake and practically non-existent. Ridiculous bi-monthly Town Calls on Fridays where they sing to you and promote “a positive, inclusive culture”, and post fake numbers for the business. They literally lie about financials and profitability. It’s only a matter of time before Walmart figures out they’re just bleeding money here and gets rid of this brand.
