Pros
Met a few genuine people, nice office location when it was in use.
Cons
The exec team is always so focused on saying the right things to convince people the company “mission” and the product work together - it doesn’t. It’s a referral platform plain and simple. The one attempt to pivot towards a different model failed miserably by overlooking a lot of basic things that a beta tester (as well as talking to a person actually experiencing financial difficulty) would be able to point out. I drank the kool-aid early on too until I realized everything the exec team says is for face. The company culture is nothing but clique-y, public displays of fake fun on chat or slack. If you don’t allow yourself to be manipulated, you’re out of the clique and good luck getting any growth opportunities. The company tries to appear very “politically correct” while their actions say otherwise. A lot of POCs feel very out of place. I know people from other depts with the same job, title, and experience but vastly different starting salaries. So much for the gender pay gap.
