Pros
I'm a returning teacher; I left for a year but came back because this is a nice place to teach. Many teachers have been here for several years, which is good for students and colleagues alike. The teaching staff get along well, like family, and support each other. The students are also generally motivated and prepared to study--something you don't find at all area language schools. Once you have proven yourself capable, you will be offered the opportunity to teach as many classes as you can handle. I learned here how to cover subject matter that is new for me and adds to my professional development.
Cons
Like a lot of teaching jobs, the ones here don't come with insurance and vacation benefits. Parking is not available. Most importantly, as an independent language school, it's not connected to other institutions like some schools, so networking isn't as easy.
