Pros
I have been a Boston Partners employee for a number of years now and really enjoy the culture and work environment. I believe we have some of the best resources for Financial Professionals, both experienced and newly entering the profession. Expectations for employees’ quality of work are high. Everyone is expected to consistently perform their roles independently while delivering solid results and are treated as professionals accordingly. Good benefits and work/life balance. Great management team. The Financial Advisors are great to work with and are a lot of fun. Our staff and management work together to support independent Financial Advisors, so it’s very service oriented. Everyone has direct access to the Management Team who is very hands on. This is great if you work hard and deliver quality work. But on the flip side, you always know where you stand which can be tough if you don’t perform to standards. Those who work hard and bring good skills to the team are rewarded with job growth and merits. It’s a great environment for those who are competitive, think outside the box and like to find solutions to challenges. Management is very collaborative and is always thinking of ways to improve the Advisor support model. The Firm is very proactive in addressing ever-changing industry standards/regulation and works hard to educate its Financial Advisors and staff to stay ahead of changes. The office itself is very nicely appointed and well maintained. Surrounding areas have beautiful grounds and trails for walking, is part of a very nice campus with fitness facilities, cafeteria and café.
Cons
Will need a good work ethic to be successful.
