Pros
Note this is all for being an summer RA at Boston University Tanglewood Institute -Managers were a part of the residential life community, many of them had been RAs or even students there -Fellow RAs were very friendly and welcoming, and I could count on them to help me out in a pinch -We all had plenty of time off, since our on-call shifts were long and could be stressful -Good compensation for a summer job for college students, especially since they provided room and board -Having passes to Tanglewood is an amazing perk, particularly if you enjoy classical music
Cons
-Since we were in a small town, there's not a lot to do with your time off - I'd recommend having a time-off project (like reading a book series or teaching yourself a new skill) to make sure you don't get bored.
