Pros
Coworkers are great! Helpful and friendly in every sense of the word. You can have a great team of patients at the time and have nothing but positive interaction with them with groups, games and activities. Management will work with you...as long you fall in line.
Cons
Or you can have a draining, needy group that will make you question why you signed up in the first place. Codes are a huge safety concern, management expects you to be thrown into a potentially dangerous situation without the proper training for physical interventions or the means to properly protect yourself and when you do prevent a patient from harming you, you get frowned upon and put into question. The safety of the patients are top priority no doubt...how about your safety though? Willing to take the risk with a pat on the shoulder being told that management is sorry for the incident as they send you to the ER, only to be asked to come back to work immediately upon discharge of the ER because your shift hasn't ended yet. I can live without that
