Pros
Great pay, benefits, onsite medical and mental health services, annual bonus. Some pockets of cohesive teams with leaders who care (Quality Assurance, R&D, Safety Benefits & Wellness, Maintenance & Utilities stand out). Growth opportunities and really great people.
Cons
Exec team/upper management primarily comprised of 3rd gen family members who are out of touch with the workforce and lack the insight to see how they're obstructing positive change. Their main answer to low morale and turnover is to point the finger at HR rather than acknowledge actual feedback collected over a decade that repeatedly points to disturbing or old school management practices. If they can produce results, bad bosses are rarely held accountable for poor people skills and often promoted. Little concern for/attention to DEI, ("I'll just have X do a quick Google search..."). On multiple occasions personally overheard and/or learned about sexist, ageist, and homophobic comments made by family VPs and upper management.
