Pros
I have been here several years and the benefits have been remained plentiful. Health insurance has been wonderful and very affordable. You have the opportunity for short term and long term disability as well as life insurance. The company is an ESOP company which helps you to personally grow financially based on the growth of the company. There is also a 401K. As with any company that hopes to survive in this economy growth involves change. Some changes have been positive, some not so positive but I guess the main thing to take from that is that they are willing to make changes when necessary. There are some very knowledgeable people within the company and they are very willing to teach new employees the knowledge that they have gained over the years. It could be a great stepping stone of learning for a person just starting in the industry.
Cons
Having three offices has actually been a bit of a detriment at times I think. The markets are similar but different in all three areas of Virginia as are the employees. I am not sure that what works for one office is always going to work for all of them. Sometimes I feel like that is not taken into consideration by management. Diversity can be a very good thing....new ideas, new ways of doing things while still achieving a common goal. Not always the way things seem to work around here.
