Pros
-Wonderful patients who make the work feel fulfilling. Diverse patient population means that any given day will contain many different disorder and treatment types. -Supportive coworkers help to create a cohesive office culture among clinicians. -Management is responsive and quick to answer any concerns when messaged. I felt valued as a clinician when speaking to our CEO and to my supervisor.
Cons
-Relatively sparse benefits--health insurance is provided but no 401k, license reimbursement, etc. Any materials like standardized assessments not already owned by the clinic are difficult to acquire. -Inconsistent supervision alternating between detailed, helpful feedback and minimal oversight. -Disorganized communication between clinicians and reception/admin sometimes leading to confusion or messages being lost. This was already improving by the time I left but is still in process.
